Editing Update 5 - Computer Generated Blood

Whilst reviewing the point of view shot of the victim staring at their blood covered hand, we noticed that the 'blood' didn't look very much like blood and would likely confuse the audience as to what the victim was getting distressed about. To fix this we attempted to add various tints to the shot but all this did was make the blood look more purple. After a while of trial and error we settled on a tint that enhanced the colour of the blood and made the blood stand out a lot more on the hand shot without effecting the entire shot. This worked immensely better than before as it is much more noticeable that it is blood and makes the shot look that much more distressing. We demonstrated the effects of this editing process to several different people who all said that the blood is much more noticable and gave the shot a lot more effect.
